PRACTICE AREAS
Family Law, Estates and Trusts, Real Estate, Business Law and Mediation.
"I am motivated to help people come to a place where they can say, 'Look at how my life has changed for the better.'"

Experienced. Knowledgeable. Responsive.  These are words Jacqueline A. Dorsey values in her practice.  But she also considers herself highly competitive.  "We are competitive with Twin Cities firms.  If I didn’t think we could provide high quality legal work, I wouldn’t be here," she says.

Jacqui was recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as one of Minnesota’s "up and coming" lawyers in 2005.  She’s versatile, handling divorce, estate planning and business transactions.  Her versatility stems from her vast legal experience well before law school.  Having graduated from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, she was a legal assistant and law clerk for 20 years in Beverly Hills, Seattle, Phoenix, the Twin Cities, and Northfield.

After receiving her law degree in 2000 from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, she quickly took on leadership roles to shape the profession.  She served as president of the Rice County Bar Association in 2005-2006.

She’s also a community leader, having served as president of the philanthropic WINGS (Women in Northfield Giving Support) organization, on the board of the Northfield Senior Citizen’s Center Endowment, having been elected to the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Community Foundation in 2006 where she currently serves, The St. Paul Foundation in 2007, a member of the MSBA Judicial Election Committee 2005-2008, and adjunct professor at William Mitchell, training students in client counseling skills.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENT
Selected as an "up and coming lawyer" by Minnesota Lawyer in 2005 from 6,000 lawyers in the state who had been in practice under six years.
